Privacy policy

• Account details: your email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we also receive the name on that account. (Apple lets you hide your real email.)
• Study activity: the questions you answer, your answers and scores, lessons completed, streaks, and badges.
• Purchases: which pass you bought, the amount, and the date. Card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• App events: when you open a lesson, view the upgrade page, or start checkout. We use these to see where people get stuck and improve Gutta. They are included in your data export and deleted with your account.
• Technical data: our hosting and database providers keep short-lived logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and protect the service.

We use a login cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. To count visits and see which pages people use, we use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you.

• To run your account and sign you in.
• To show your progress and choose what you should study next.
• To give you the pass or printables you paid for, and to handle refunds. We note when a printable is downloaded, because downloaded printables are not refundable.
• To send emails about your account, like sign-in codes and a welcome message.
• To find and fix bugs, and to keep the app secure.
• To understand which parts of Gutta help people study, so we can improve them.

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service:

• Supabase (database and sign-in)
• Vercel (website hosting and cookie-free visit counts)
• Stripe (payments)
• Resend (email delivery)
• Google and Apple (only if you choose to sign in with them)

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and study history. We keep basic purchase records (amount, date, and Stripe reference) as long as tax and accounting law requires, without your study data attached. Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own policy.

You can ask us to show you, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Email hello@trygutta.com from the address on your account and we will reply within 30 days.

Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have additional rights under local law. We honor those requests the same way.

Gutta is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, email hello@trygutta.com and we will delete it.

Data is encrypted in transit, access to your records is limited to you, and payments are handled by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you.

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and let you know by email or in the app.
